More affectionately known as “The Village”, St Matthews's Cottages is a ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Rockhampton (also known as Anglican Church Central Queensland).

St Matthews's Cottages
The Anglican Church Central Qld provides comfortable low cost, rental accommodation to eligible people who are mature Senior Citizens.
Residents of the Village occupy a residence under a Residential Tenancy Agreement as prescribed and regulated by the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.
The Village has 40 cottage and unit style residences with rents ranging from $150 to $160 per week. There are also common areas and a recreation hall, where a weekly church service is held as well as being available for a range of activities.
To be eligible for a tenancy within the Village a person must be:
• In receipt of a Commonwealth Government Aged Pension (Full or Part) pension, and,
• Are able to care for themselves, and,
• Satisfy all the usual pre- tenancy checks permitted under the
Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.
